Thinking about college and interested in construction? The Duluth Superior Area Community

Foundation is taking applications for the newly created Richard Washburn Scholarship,

sponsored by Ulland Brothers. This scholarship - worth up to $4000 - is for students who live

within 100 miles of Cloquet, Virginia or Albert Lea, have a GPA of 2.8 or greater, and are

planning a career in the construction industry. Complete the application at

Minnesota Power is looking to recognize high school seniors who have been particularly active in

their communities through volunteerism and community service. They are offering numerous

$2500 scholarships to people who live in their service area (in other words HERE), have a GPA

of 3.0 or greater and have been active in their community, church or high school. If you want a

piece of this action, get to mnpower.com/scholarships and complete an application - and do it

before January 15th!

Criteria: Verifiable relative of a Vietnam Veteran (includes step-family). Planning to attend an accredited university or technical college in the US. Minimum GPA of 3.0.  Interview a Vietnam era veteran and write an essay.

Minnesota Association of Townships Scholarship Program

Application: Available in the counseling office
Due: May 1st, 2015
Criteria: Must be a junior to apply. Letter of recommendation and essay are required

Minnesota State University Moorhead School of Business Scholarships.
George and Marlane Sanderson Scholarship-$1000
Olson and Sondag Freshman Scholarship--$1500 per year for four years for freshmen majoring in accounting.  Due February 15, 2015

Michigan Tech Iron Range Alumni Scholarship  $500
Must plan to attend Michigan Tech and be in the top 1/4 of high school class.
