ECR fosters positive youth development through activities designed to increase self esteem, build a sense of community, and provide positive adult relationships that allow effective interventions.
ECR Services offered at Memorial School:
- Study Group
- FREE study group and tutoring services for 6th-12th graders
- Two ECR staff members and community volunteers offer their time to help tutor students in all subjects from math to science to civics with homework and test preparation
- Study Group meets Monday through Thursday from 3:00 - 4:30 pm in Room 203 of the Ely Memorial High School
- Students who attend regularly have shown significant improvement in grades. A nutritious snack is provided
- No sign up is required so you may just show up!
- After Lunch Bunch
- Fifth and Sixth graders sign up to meet once a week to discuss their new life in middle school, air concerns, and find answers to questions. They enjoy an opportunity to "have a voice" in the Memorial Middle School and the chance to work on service projects such as the bookmark contest, Valentine's for the Troops, and preparing birthday cards and treat bags for students in grades K - 4th
- Key Club
- Provides its members with opportunities to provide service, build character and develop leadership skills
- Students 9-12 can join Key Club
- Key Club meets weekly during the school year for service and activity planning
- Ely Recreation Center
- The Ely Recreation Center is open to youth from 5th grade through 12th grade to hang out with their friends in a fun, safe, and respectful environment
